Machine Knitting Lesson 3--Lace Carriage and punch cards

I can never figure out how to place photos using my iPad, but this is a collection from my latest knitting lesson.  Skills covered were:  picot edge hem, use of lace carriage and punch card to form illustrated patterns, create "I" cord, bind odd partial row from carriage, rehang work to form seams, and continued patience 😀.

I am enjoying this process as I move along.  The bottom band of the bonnet was also attached by rehanging the partially constructed bonnet to the band and knitting them together.

I did sew today too!  I finished a pj top for Samantha's American Girl doll.

Some Machine Knitting Projects

I think I have mentioned that I am taking a series of beginner lessons to learn to use my Brother KH836e knitting machine.  Here are some photos of the projects I have made so far.  The red and white sample size baby blanket demonstrates patterned tuck stitch, fair isle and mirror image fair isle, hanging a hem and pie crust border.  Fun project!
I will be back with the lesson one projects soon :-)
